Weekend Warriors
Sunday. Sunday AFTER the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade. What an awesome day, yesterday! Up early for a Bloody Mary with friends and then the LONG walk to Barney's Landscaping to our parade site. A wonderful friend scored us ringside seats for the event. Let me back up to the LONG walk. I work out at the Y every morning. 5am the alarm goes off and I trot, sans makeup to the Y and hit the treadmill. Yet, when we are carrying a cooler, bag chairs and enough cheese, crackers and sausage (Thank you, Cheese Corner) to feed every marching band member, its kinda exhausting. Not too mention, I was overdressed in a very warm sweater and jeans. It was suppose to be COLD and RAINY. But NO - it was beautiful and I did not layer. I'm not complaining about the weather....just that I'm still way outa shape!
So today I am catching up on everything I didn't have time to do all week long. Laundry for instance. Can 2 people really dirty that much clothing? I am on load 5.
I'm on a roll with my honey-do list today! Sheets are changed and washed, the dogs dishes are washed, hubby has been fed and looks like he'll be napping soon. I've bake up 90 cookies (Chocolate Chip and Caramel Apple Oatmeal) for the Humane Society. We'll be delivering trays of goodies tomorrow as a thank you to the area Veterinary Clinics who donate so much for the animals in the care of the CRHS. I've even cleaned out the fridge and made the grocery list for the week.
Hey Hey!! The Packers are up 16-0 on the Rams....I hope they keep it up!
Oh, I'll be on Coulee Region Cooks this week with Mike Hayes so I have to get my recipes organized today. Be sure to tune in!
I'm off to update the website with the abundance of new products at U-Bake. Be sure to try our Donut Holes. They are AWESOME!
Rams just scored. Dang-it. 16-7.
Peace out,
Kris
