Arrrrrr Matey - Of Pirates and Fashion
Pirates. They've been in the news ~ I'm sure you've heard. I gotta tell you...I think pirates are kinda sexy (Hello, Johnny Depp!) Anyway, yesterday I dug around the basement to find my box of summer clothes. I made the mistake of rummaging thru it. Mind you - this box is really big and really old. I found a babydoll shirt bragging about my (fictional) membership in the mile-high club, a ridiculous top with the leather lace-up front that I have never worn, a few Harley Davidson tanks to places I've never been and a cute bikini that my hips will never let me wear again. There were bright, colorful things... crazy things...dark, ugly things... and I'm wondering, did I used to dress like a pirate? I kept looking for a eye patch and a hidden treasure map. Who bought all this crap? I actually saved tops that are threadbare and ragged. Some even have holes in them! Holes! So as I reminisced about fashion gone bad, I figured there is plenty of room in the basement so back it went. Who knows maybe someday they'll fetch a quarter at a rummage sale!
I'll give you a nickle for your brightest pair of leg-warmers!
