A Day of Highs and Lows
5:30 am - It's Monday morning and I'm ready to roll! I love Monday's - I get my whole week organized and feel so task oriented! I rise, grab a diet dew and hit the "puter" My 6 year old Laptop is acting up. Again. system scan. Still slow. Should it really take 2 minutes for a site to load? Arg. And there is a strange whirly bird sound coming out. Hmmm....Reboot. Low point.
7:15 am - time to hit the road. Spilled diet dew on shirt. Low point.
8:45 am - I get a call from Scott "Honey, we've got fraud on our checking account" he quickly announces. "HUH?" I like frogs - What's the problem?? He slowly and clearly repeats. Holy Cow! Call the bank! Call the bank! This was clearly a low. Some doorknob decided to use the U-Bake credit card number and go shopping in Tampa, Florida. And, realy snazzy places, too. Walmart. 7-Eleven and a Race Track. Yeah, nice huh? Well, our bank rocked it out and placed a "hotcard" status on the number. And, we filed a dispute. That's some scary stuff though.
11:00 am - I still haven't eaten breakfast. Cheese Corner to the rescue. A steaming hot bowl of soup did the trick. High point!
1:40 pm - I grabbed 2 cases of U-Bake Dog Bones (Knuckles!) and headed for the Coulee Region Humane Society. The "kids" need things to chew on! I stuck my head in the dog room. Oh, what a bunch of cuties - If you are looking to adopt, please go there! There were 2 really cute yellow lab cross puppies recreating wrestle-mania, and an older black lab with tons of grey hair that looks like she's smiling when she barks. Too cute. Another high.
3:00 pm - I treat myself to a Shamrock Shake from Micky D's. YES! A major high! Head to Kohl's to get a baby gift for a friend in Madtown. Can I bring this shake inside???
4:00 pm - Meet w/ Tony and the other smiling faces at The Blu Group - those guys clearly rock. Another high point!
5:20 pm - Home finally - Kiss hubby and rub the dogs. And, I smell chicken on the grill. Mmmmm, Life IS good. High!
Later - It gets better baby - DANCING WITH THE STARS is on! Yes! HIGH point!
